Stockland Bristol rocked last night to a wonderful turnout of family and friends coming from far and wide for a 70th birthday celebration. Stockland Bristol Village Club (also known as Stockland Sports Club or Stockland Social Club) is a small rural community hub located in Stockland Bristol village near Bridgwater and Cannington in Somerset. It had a lovely homely feel and was ideal for this large family and friends get-together.
Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band followed the meal and games with a ceilidh in the hall which, although fairly small was more than adequate for the mixed age group of guests who joined in with great gusto and a quite a few whoops and hollers.
Dance caller Bridget (photo above) did her usual great job organising the dances and some of Barnbuskers (see photo below) had their legs out to keep them going despite the temperature in this long heat wave 2026 Summer.
Band leader Judy (photo below), who also had her legs out, was also seen cooling down with a pint of her favourite beverage.
