At the beginning of every dance, the caller will do a walk-through so you can learn the dance. Once the dance starts, the caller will keep reminding you what to do next, so you don’t need to remember it all.
We aim to fit our dances to the dancers, so if you have never done it before the dances will be very easy.
Ceilidh dances in Somerset
Here’s an example of a nice easy dance which is often used to end the evening. It’s called circassian circle and the tune is Alabama Jubilee. We love it when we have the double-bass as we did on this occasion.
