Barnbuskers Duo, accordionist Judy and fiddler Rob, are thrilled to be back at the Lawns Social Club in Taunton on Friday 6th November 2026. Dancing to their toe tapping jigs and reels, there will be do-si-dos, right hand stars, circling to the left and right, ducking and diving and maybe even some stripping of the willows. Last time the dance floor was packed with around 70 dancers and a great atmosphere. We’re looking for at least as many again. The Lawns Social Club, Taunton, Somerset has lots of space and is perfect for country dancing. It has a sunken dance floor with a large stage. There is a convenient bar for refreshments. Seats and tables are ideally arranged for chatting and taking a rest between dances as they are above and away from the dancing floor. It all adds up to a great night out and a wonderful way to start the weekend!
Expert country dance caller Bridget (photo below) will be there again making it easy to join in. She will start with a walk through of each dance and then will continue calling out the moves after the music has started for as long as needed. Country dancing is probably the easiest form of dancing to get into. You can walk, skip or gallop as you wish or as your abilities allow. It needs no previous expertise and highly experienced caller Bridget always ensures it’s lots of fun!

Parking is easy too in the on-site Lawns Club Car Park and there is a public car park opposite.
