Just back from a perfect wedding ceilidh barn dance with our Barnbuskers Band Trio made up of band leader Judy on accordion, brother Rob on fiddle and myself, Robin, on wind instruments (photo below).
The Rosemoor RHS Gardens hall was absolutely amazing. It was very large as halls go, the stage they set up for us was just perfect and easily accessed from where we could park and the acoustics of the hall couldn’t have been better. Even with up to 75 guests, there was plenty of room for the dancing without having to move the wedding guests tables.
Simon (photo below), who is one of Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band’s favourite callers, with possibly as many as 40 dancers on the floor at any one time, did a brilliant job calling the fun country dances for the approximately 75 wedding guests. Truly a spectacular afternoon with lots of enthusiastic dancing of do-si-dos, right hand stars, left hand stars, circling to the right, circling to the left, galloping between the lines and much more.
So, if you are looking for a wonderful wedding venue, Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band would definitely recommend Rosemoor RHS Gardens in Devon, especially if you would like to celebrate with country dancing and a ceilidh barn dance.
