Barnbuskers loved a good wedding. It warms the cockles of our hearts to see two young people setting off in life together. And there is no better way of getting all the bride and groom’s friends and family together than with a good ceilidh or barn dance, especially when everybody enthusiastically joins in with the country dancing, as they did last night.
The Mole Resort hall was the perfect setting with amazing views of North Devon from the balcony outside and even a balcony inside (see photo below, taken during our pre-visit to make arrangements). The plentiful parking, made it easy for Barnbuskers Band to bring in our kit and set up.

Band leader Judy led the music, playing a great selection of jigs and reels, Robin provided a steady beat for the dancing on his bass clarinet and Sarah added the chords and rhythm. Bridget, who is one of Barnbuskers Band’s favourite callers, did a great job organising the dances for well over one hundred enthusiastic guests and a packed dance floor.

So, if you are thinking of holding a wedding celebration, The Mole Resort hall is well worth considering. And, of course, if you would like to have some country dancing with a ceilidh or barn dance, we at Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band would love to play the music and provide the dance caller for you. We offer a variety of Barnbuskers Band line-ups to suit all requirements throughout Somerset and Devon. We look forward to making your wedding day special too.
