Judy’s Ceilidh Classes

Judy now has two ceilidh classes in West Somerset. They are lots of fun and you will be getting some exercise without noticing you are doing it. It is not necessary to bring a partner, and many people don’t. Scroll down to fill out the form to let me know you’re coming.

Wednesdays from 5-6 pm at Minehead Rugby Club in Alcombe, Minehead. TA24 6TR. Cost £5. We are there every Wednesday unless the Blood Donation service is using the rugby club, which happens a few times a year.
We have finished for Christmas in Minehead and start back on 7th January.

Thursdays from 6-7 pm at Watchet Bowling Club TA23 0EW. We are there every Thursday. We finish for Christmas in Watchet on 11th December and start back on 8th January.

Ceilidh dancing is a wonderful social activity that people of all ages can enjoy. It is a fun and social way to get some exercise, without the pain of an exercise class! You can wear your usual clothes – just make sure you have comfortable shoes.

The music is cheerful, bouncy and really easy to move to – you just need to be able to put one foot in front of the other! The dancing is social, great exercise and you’ll leave looking forward to the next one. No previous experience is needed as this class is for beginners. You might think you can’t dance, but this is different, as each dance is explained, and instructions called out as we go along. You don’t need to bring a partner – if we end up with an odd number, Judy joins in the dancing to make it work as shown in the video below.
