Thanks to Sidcot School Reunion Community 2026 for sharing a wonderful evening with Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band last night. It truly showed the power of country dancing to bring together the generations in a friendly and relaxed community setting. From pre-school children to a nearly 90 years young (and still dancing) lady, the large hall at Sidcot School, Winscombe, North Somerset was packed with laughter and community spirit. In abundance, there were do-si-dos, right hand stars and galloping between the lines. Rarely in country dancing has stripping the willow seen so much energy.

A nearly 90 year young lady asked for dipping and diving and it was duly arranged with the Boston Tea Party Dance. Her smile was wonderful to see and Barnbuskers dance caller and band leader Judy loved the hug she received afterwards!

So, a big thank-you Sidcot School Reunion 2026 for inviting Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band to provide the music and the dance caller for their special community evening. We had a great time!
