Successful Barn Dance at Hadspen Village Hall South Somerset with The Barnbuskers Ceilidh Band Duo and Country Dance caller Steve

Hadspen Village Hall, Somerset

Hadspen Village Hall in the Pitcombe Parish of South Somerset was packed last night for their Spring Event Barn Dance making a wonderful atmosphere. There was cider, apple juice, tasty baps and lots of energetic dancing to the music of Barnbuskers Band brother and sister Duo Rob and Judy with Caller Steve organising the country dances. Without doubt, Hadspen Village Hall proved to be a great place to hold a ceilidh or barn dance and definitely gets the seal of approval from Barnbuskers Band.

From the moment of arriving, Barnbuskers got a really friendly welcome. Parking was easy to load the equipment into the hall and there was lots of parking space for the dancers when they arrived in a secondary parking area.

It was a great evening of traditional dancing to live music with lots of do-si-dos, right hand stars, left hand stars, galloping between the lines and more. Plus, of course, as almost always at country dances, lots of laughter!

So, if you are thinking of holding a ceilidh or barn dance and are local to the surrounding villages of Cole, Yarlington, North and South Cadbury or Ansford with the town of Castle Cary nearby, Hadspen Village Hall in the parish of Pitcombe, Somerset is definitely worth checking out to see if it meets your needs.

Of course, wherever in Devon or Somerset you decide to hold your ceilidh barn dance, Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band would love to hear from you. We can offer a band consisting of a duo of two musicians with caller, three musicians with caller or a big band with four musicians and caller, whatever suits you. Simply message Judy, Barnbuskers Band leader and organiser (photo below), on Barnbuskers website contact page with your requirements.

Whether it’s for your private party, public ceilidh or other barn dancing or ceilidh event, Barnbuskers looks forward to hearing from you. (By the way: we would love for you to join us on Barnbuskers social media so we can keep you up to date with other public events).
