Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band loves Country Dancing. Whether it’s a ceilidh at a village hall or a barn dance in a farmers yard, it’s all about having fun. Toe tapping music gets people up onto the dance floor and, with country dancing being so easy, everyone joins in. Previous experience is not necessary and, whether you are 8 years old or 80 years young, if you can walk, you can have a great time.
For the really large events with perhaps 50 dancers or more on the floor, Barnbuskers, of course, offers a full live band with caller and PA, (as in the photo above). But for much smaller events, Barnbuskers band leader and dance caller Judy can come along with Barnbuskers recorded music, a small PA and organise a fun session for as few as 10 or 20 dancers. The country dances are the same, the Barnbuskers music is the same, but recorded, and the event is just as much fun for the dancers, but the budget needed is appropriate to the event and can be very affordable.
Such was the really lovely coffee morning ceilidh for St Patrick’s Day that Judy attended at Lisieux Way Methodist Church in Taunton Somerset today. There were do-si-dos, right hand stars, left hand stars, galloping (cautiously) between the lines and more … all to some really great Irish tunes. As always with country dancing, there was laughter and enjoyment. It was a lovely way to spend some time with lovely people and Judy is very much looking forward to going back for future sessions.
