Maybe it’s the do-si-dos, the right hand stars or even the galloping (gently) between the lines that is making Judy’s Ceilidh Classes on most Wednesday evenings from 5pm to 6pm at Minehead Rugby Club Hall, West Somerset achieve new record attendances AGAIN!
Or maybe it’s Judy’s friendly and cheerful approach to helping beginner dancers of all abilities enjoy Country / Ceilidh dancing.
It could also be the previous Friday’s successful birthday party, also at the Rugby Club, where Judy organised the music and dances for the early part of the evening. It appears that some of the party goers heard about Judy’s Ceilidh classes there.

It could even be the parking that the Minehead Rugby Club offers making it easy for Ceilidh Class goers to drop in for an hours easy fun exercise and socialising.
Whatever the reason for record numbers at the Minehead Ceilidh classes, more people means more fun for everyone socialising in a hall that is easily able to take lots of country / ceilidh dancers.
Of course, it meant a massive de-brief when the excited Judy got home from her class just like the last time she got record numbers at her Minehead Rugby Club Ceilidh Class. Judy just loves Ceilidh / Country dancing and the more people she has enjoying it too, the better she likes it!
So how can you join in?
Whether you live locally or are just visiting the area, perhaps on holiday and looking for holiday activities or something fun to do, you will be made welcome at Judy’s Ceilidh Classes, even for a single visit. Local villages and towns like Williton, Porlock, Washford, Roadwater or the Exmoor villages such as Wheddon Cross or Exford are also welcome. Judy even has a couple of dancers that come from Taunton!
For more information about how to join in the ceilidh class fun, simply click on the link to Judy’s Ceilidh Classes page. There are also details there about Judy’s Ceilidh Classes in Watchet, if that is more convenient.
If you would like Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band to come along with our dance caller to play at your very own ceilidh, Judy (photo below) would love to hear from you on Barnbuskers contact page.
See you soon!
