What a magical 70th Birthday Party it was last night at Minehead Rugby Club! The hall looked lovely with it’s white curtains backlit with fairy lights, the food was tasty, there was a well stocked bar and the hall was packed with lots of friends of the birthday girl keen to help her have a great day!
The evening was split into two parts. The first part featured Judy’s Ceilidh Class teacher Judy calling some Country Dances to Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band recorded music. The second half featured Swing Dance and Lindy Hop teachers from Taunton teaching the Charleston dance and leading some dance party games. It was lots of fun with the blend of Country Dancers and Swing Dancers working very well.
At Barnbuskers we provide lots of live music and Country Dance callers for Birthday parties across Somerset and Devon but the recorded music Judy also provides with her calling the dances is a good option that works well for many gatherings. The sound system provided by the Minehead Rugby Club is regularly used by Judy for her Wednesday Minehead Ceilidh Classes and proved very satisfactory for the Swing Dance teaching last night too. For other venues, Barnbuskers powerful sound systems ensure everyone has a good time.
