It’s been a busy old year for Barnbuskers Celidh and Barn Dance Band! We did a Burns Night, a couple of weddings (one in North Devon, one in Newton Abbot), numerous parties, 21st birthday, 40th birthday 60th birthday and a WI party! Not to mention a works party and a summer party. One of the highlights was playing in Vivary Park in Taunton on a beautiful hot sunny afternoon, from the relative cool of the bandstand. 2025 in Photos
2025 also saw the start of Judy’s Ceilidh Classes in Minehead and Watchet. These have proved very popular, beyond expectation and we are looking forward to these continuing into next year. These are a good opportunity for you to get some weekly exercise and fun while also learning the basics of country dancing. It’s also good exercise for the brain! We will be starting back in January and hope to see some new people joining us. As it’s January, with Burns Night near the end, we will have a Scottish theme to the dances for the first few weeks, with old favourites such as Gay Gordons and Dashing White Sergeant
- Minehead Ceilidh Class at the Minehead Rugby Club. 5 – 6 pm on Wednesdays, starting on 7th January 2026
- Watchet Ceilidh Class at the Watchet Bowling Club. 6-7 pm on Thursdays, starting on 8th January 2026
You don’t need to commit yourself to coming to this every week, so if you can’t make it every week, that is absolutely fine. But it’s so much fun, we’re sure you’ll want to come every week if you can. It’s £5 per session. For more information, or to let Judy know you are coming, contact her using WhatsApp below.
