Barnbuskers Duo – perfect for a smaller Ceilidh or Barn Dance in Somerset or Devon

The Barnbuskers Band comes in several different sizes, and sometimes the Barnbuskers Duo, is perfect for what you need. There are two reasons you might want to have the duo instead of the full band – firstly space – squeezing four players and the caller into a small corner of a hall, is not always easy, and a duo will fit nicely in a corner of the hall. Secondly, the duo is the most budget-friendly option, so if you are planning a small event, or a fund-raiser in 2026 where you need to keep costs to a minimum, this might be the right option for you.

We have quite a few different combinations for the duo – either a fiddle and accordion duo, a fiddle and guitar duo or even a clarinet and accordion duo! Pictured below are Judy on the accordion with her daughter Laura, playing for a recent barn dance at the Trull Church Community Centre.

And here is a different combination – Judy on the accordion, with her brother Rob on the fiddle. This particular Barnbuskers Duo is going to be playing for a barndance at The Lawns Social Club in Taunton on 6th March 2026, all welcome.
