Yes, it’s only 42 days and we’re really looking forward to the Barnbuskers Grand Christmas Ceilidh. Plans are moving ahead and the ticket sales are going well. It’s a good thing that Minehead Rugby Club Hall is huge because we’re expecting lots of people coming to dance, chat and have a great time. The Rugby Club Licensed Bar will be open too for refreshing those dancing feet and adding to the festive Christmas cheer! 🍷 We are expecting to be putting up some Christmas decorations too! 🎄

🕺 A Night of Music, Merriment & Festive Fun
Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or trying a ceilidh for the first time, Barnbuskers Ceilidh Band aim to provide fun for all ages. We are a local West Somerset and Exmoor based band but play music and provide dance callers for lots of anniversaries, special birthdays and wedding parties throughout Somerset and Devon. Our traditional folk tunes are energetic and our dance calling aims to give everyone a great time — you don’t need any experience to join in!
Each dance at the Barnbuskers Christmas Ceilidh will begin with a walk through led by our highly experienced festival and ceilidh dance caller Bridget Flett. When the music starts, Bridget will continue calling the dance steps as long as necessary!
There will be right hand stars, left hand stars, circling to the left, circling to the right, do-si-do-ing, galloping between the lines and lots of swinging your partners (gently or vigorously, whatever they prefer!).
Expect traditional folk music with a festive twist, plenty of laughter, and a warm, Christmas atmosphere. It’s the perfect way to kick off the holiday season in West Somerset and Exmoor.

The Barnbuskers Grand Christmas Ceilidh Barn Dance is in Minehead but you are all welcome!
