At Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band, we’re looking forward to a wonderfully traditional Christmas time with friends old, new and those we haven’t yet met. And it’s kicking off early in December with our local Christmas Ceilidh Barn Dance at the Rugby Club, Minehead Thursday 4th December. Tickets are already selling well and it’s promising to be a wonderful evening of traditional dancing and Christmas festivities. (Really easy free parking too)!
Whether you live locally, are home with family for Christmas or just visiting for a Christmas holiday, we hope to see you there joining in our traditional dancing and Christmas fun! Don’t worry, if you have never ceilidh-danced before, Bridget, one of Barnbusker’s favourite dance callers, will be there to lead you through the dances and will continue calling the dance moves after the music starts for as long as needed so everyone has a good time.

How to get Tickets for Barnbuskers Christmas Ceilidh
Tickets, £10 adults and £5 (accompanied) children are available online from https://buytickets.at/barnbuskers/1898543
or, in person from Barnbuskers band leader and organiser, at one of Judy’s Ceilidh Classes in Watchet or Minehead,

But the fun continues because!
The day after our Christmas Ceilidh Barn Dance, we’re looking forward to visiting the traditional events open to the public at the nearby Dunster Winter Festival (used to be Dunster By Candlelight) which is held on Friday 5th in the evening, and during the day on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th December. To quote the organisers,
‘The medieval village of Dunster and Dunster Castle will be dressed for Christmas and will look stunning over the Festival weekend.’
For Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band, the Dunster Winter Festival will be a lovely evening off, with seasonal food, drinks, and festive cheer.
However, on Saturday, it’s back to what we love doing, as Barnbuskers will be heading off to Trull, Taunton to play at another Christmas barn dance. So it’s going to be a busy but really fun weekend and a great start to the December month of Christmas Festivities.
Finally
At Barnbuskers, we hope you will help us celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season by coming to our traditional ceilidh Christmas party at Minehead Rugby Club Hall. Whether you live locally in West Somerset or Exmoor, are home with family for Christmas or just visiting for a Christmas holiday, you are really welcome!
And, in the mean time, we’d also love you to keep in touch with us by following Barnbuskers on Facebook, Threads, Instagram, X, or Bluesky. We also have a mailing list.
