If you love live music, dancing, and community spirit, mark your calendar for Thursday 4th December — the Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band is back for a toe-tapping Christmas Ceilidh at Minehead Rugby Club Hall, West Somerset.
🕺 A Night of Music, Merriment & Festive Fun
Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or trying a ceilidh for the first time, this evening promises fun for all ages. The locally based Barnbuskers Ceilidh Band are renowned throughout Somerset and Devon for their energetic tunes and friendly dance calling — you don’t need any experience to join in!
Each dance will begin with a walk through led by experienced festival and ceilidh dance caller Bridget Flett. When the music starts, Bridget will continue calling the dance steps as long as necessary so everyone has a great time!
There will be right hand stars, left hand stars, circling to the left, circling to the right, do-si-do-ing, galloping between the lines and lots of swinging your partners (gently or vigorously, whatever they prefer!).
Expect traditional folk music with a festive twist, plenty of laughter, and a warm, Christmas atmosphere. It’s the perfect way to kick off the holiday season in West Somerset.
