Anyone who has attended a local Minehead or West Somerset ceilidh or barn dance will know that country dancing is one of the best forms of exercise and a great way to keep fit. Ceilidh dancing is also very social, easy to get started, great fun and the music is cheerful and uplifting.
So it’s great news that discussions are under way between West Somerset based Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band leader and a local Minehead venue about holding regular mini ceilidh classes. These mini dances will be about an hour in duration featuring the best in English country dance music with full instruction for the dances by Barnbuskers Band leader Judy (photo below) so no previous experience is needed.
Designed to be lots of fun and a great social way to keep fit for all abilities, Barnbuskers mini ceilidhs are planned to be weekly or fortnightly depending on demand.
