Just a quick reminder that Bridgwater Cultural Festival 2025 will be putting on a half hour lunchtime ceilidh barn dance in Cranleigh Gardens, Bridgwater, Somerset, UK on Saturday 21st June 2025. Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band will be there at about 1pm playing our jaunty tunes and we will have a cheerful and helpful dance caller to lead you through the dances so no previous experience is needed. It’s great fun and open to all ages to join in. Walk, skip or gallop in time to the music, it doesn’t matter because it’s all about enjoying yourself.

Bridgwater Cultural Festival 2025 is themed “Community as a Superpower!” and described by its wonderful organisers as: ‘A day filled with world music, dance, food and community spirit.’ Funded by Bridgwater Town Deal and The National Lottery Community Fund, it starts on the Saturday at 11am and runs through until 5pm.
The Bridgwater Cultural Festival is all about people coming together to make something that is bigger than each could individually achieve. It’s the essence of their theme “Community as a Superpower!” It’s also an idea that Barnbuskers Band loves because, as musicians, we play together to make music that is so much more than us playing alone. Our caller adds to the mix and together we are passionate about getting people up to dance through the sheer jolliness of our music – although you are welcome to just listen if you want to.
We enjoy playing for open air outdoor ceilidhs or barn dances, as well as indoors, because the ambiance is so wonderful, as it was at Vivary Park, Taunton, UK, recently, see below.
