Finding your Happy Place and ours at Vivary Park Taunton with families, friends and people of all ages enjoying Barnbuskers music bringing our Somerset UK community together through music and dance in the sunshine

They say that finding your happy place is all about family and friends. Also that families are at the heart of community togetherness. Last Sunday afternoon at Vivary Park in Taunton happiness was all around us. Smiles were everywhere. Families and friends from all over the park were joining in with the dancing or just sitting on the grass. The dancers included toddlers to teenagers, young mums and dads to those retired. Country dancing is like that. The music and dance is timeless and has been delighting people of all ages through the centuries. On Sunday afternoon, Country dancing came to Vivary Park Taunton and happiness was everywhere.

Which is why we do what we do at Barnbuskers because when people around us are happy, we are happy. So we were even happier when we saw all the wonderful comments on social media afterwards. Memories of dancing at school in childhood were mentioned and particularly the joy of all age groups mixing together to have fun. A big Barnbuskers thank-you for all your kind comments.

So, we look forward to Taunton Town Council inviting us back next year for another lovely ceilidh in the park with family and friends new and old joining in together to share the happiness that memories are made of.

Of course, open air ceilidhs in the park are not the only fun events that Barnbuskers hosts with a caller to lead the country dancing. Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band also play in lots of village halls and other venues for lots of different occasions. Special birthday parties, anniversaries and weddings are all events where the best entertainment is entertainment that suits families and friends of all ages. A country dancing ceilidh or barn dance is ideal for this. So, we are also looking forward to sharing the happiness and these events too. Perhaps we will see you at one of these.
