What a fabulous time Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band had in Vivary Park, Taunton at Barnbuskers Ceilidh in the Park yesterday! The Taunton Town Council staff, working on a Sunday, gave us a great welcome so we could set up our band equipment on time and the photos and videos at Vivary Park Taunton their social media representative took and published are truly awesome. People were saying Vivary Park had never been so busy and there was a wonderful atmosphere as people of all ages relaxed on the grass, on chairs they’d brought with them or danced in the sun. It was a wonderful two hour long community event.
So a big thank-you to all involved at Taunton Town Council for the opportunity to put on Sunday’s fabulous ceilidh. The sun smiled, the audience smiled, laughed and danced their socks off, which definitely pleased our caller Bridget Flett (seen below) and our ceilidh barn dance band left buzzing! We look forward to doing it again!
In fact, of course, we are going to do it again but this time over in Bridgwater at Bridgwater Cultural Festival June 21 2025 @ 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. Although we are only on, during that time, for half an hour, we will be providing our usual special brand of vibrant English Country Dance music to get Bridgwater Cultural Festival goers feet twitching and our dance caller will be working hard to encourage as many as possible to get up and dance in the sun.
So don’t forget to put Saturday 21st June 2025 at Cranley Gardens, Bridgwater, Somerset, UK in your diary. This Bridgwater Cultural Festival Saturday event starts at 11 o’clock in the morning and runs until 5pm. Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band and caller are on at about 1pm. Come along and let’s all get superpowered together with summertime music and dance. We look forward to seeing you and joining in the fun.
Again, a big thank-you to all that participated in Sunday’s Vivary Park Open Air Ceilidh and we look forward to seeing you all again sometime, somewhere. Barnbuskers spends most of its time in Somerset and Devon hosting ceilidhs for private birthday parties, anniversaries and weddings but we love open to everyone community events such as at Vivary Park with its opportunities to play for dancing for the general community.
