New Barnbuskers Band aerophone instrument reduces costs of ceilidhs and barn dances for budget birthdays, anniversaries and wedding events in Somerset and Devon UK

To open up opportunities for cheaper low cost ceilidhs and barn dances for dancers in Somerset and Devon UK, Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band are pleased to announce the addition of the innovative aerophone to their existing instrumental line up of fiddles, flute, clarinet, accordions and bass guitars! Aerophones are modern wind instruments that are played by blowing and fingering like clarinets, whistles and other wind instruments but have an enormous number of great sounds equalled only in range by pianos and other keyboards. In one moment, the aerophone can double as a whistle, dancing the tune in the highest of notes in another it can descend to notes that equal the double bass or tuba to provide the rhythmic bass line loved by dancers. It’s an immensely versatile instrument! It might look a bit unusual but its’ natural sounds are perfect for folk music and dance.

So, if you are looking to hold a ceilidh or barn dance for a special birthday, anniversary or wedding on a small budget, Barnbuskers aerophone instrument might well be included in the reduced band size instrumental line up to help you achieve your objective. Of course, the music will still sound great. Judy, Barnbuskers band leader and organiser can advise on price options which aim to make ceilidh dances available for almost everybody. Of course, the aerophone sounds so fantastic that it will probably also be included in full band line ups enabling a greater variety of sound and fun for everyone..

By the way, there will be a great opportunity to hear the aerophone being played soon because it has been included in the line up for the Free Sunday afternoon Ceilidh in Vivary Park, Taunton on May 18th 2025 hosted between 3pm and 5pm by Barnbuskers Ceilidh Barn Dance Band with Bridget, one of our favourite dance callers, explaining the dances beforehand and during the dances so everyone can easily join in. Follow the link above for more information. It’s free, open to all and we hope to see you there!
