Beer, cider, cycling and the rustic charm of the Somerset levels pub Wyndham Arms, Kingsbury Episcopi

If you are cycling the North Curry – classic Somerset levels cycling loop from Martock, the Wyndham Arms pub in Kingsbury Episcopi offers beer, cider and masses of rustic charm.

We came across this lovely pub when Barnbuskers Ceilidh band was asked to play for their 2025 Burns Night. It was a wonderful night of community, fellowship, poetry and music. (Photos with kind permission of Tamra Elizabeth Evans Photography)

As it happens, Robin (clarinet) and Judy (accordion) in the Barnbuskers band, are also keen cyclists and spotted that it was an ideal rustic stop off when on the North Curry – classic Somerset levels cycling loop from Martock and we’re defiinitely looking forward to returning sometime in the future without our instruments but with our bicycles!

So, if you are cycling the North Curry – classic Somerset levels cycling loop from Martock and fancy a bit of refreshment en route, the Wyndham Arms awaits you with its rustic charm in Kingsbury Episcopi. (They also have a big car park around the back of the pub for car drivers. Maybe see you there!
